This Sr. Security Architect for Digital Sovereignty role will advise and deliver strategic security and compliance outcomes across a wide range of strategic opportunities and challenging environments. They will be responsible for leading and evolving the security and compliance strategy and architecture for strategic national digital sovereignty opportunities in the public sector and highly regulated industries. They will drive change with customers, partners, regulators, and internal teams, and develop security strategies and architectures to win support for delivering creative/non-standard approaches and solutions.
This key position will have high visibility at the most senior levels of customer, partner and regulator organizations. The position will act as the security interface with AWS customers and service teams working closely with AWS Sales and Solutions Architect teams. The candidate will foster key relationships, interpret the impacts of industry and regulatory changes, and track and report on industry trends.
Key job responsibilities
* Lead the conversation on security, risk and compliance with strategic AWS customers and partners with sovereignty restrictions
* Manage disparate senior stakeholders within customer environments to deliver consensus and drive outcomes on the AWS platform
* Help customers understand how they can integrate AWS security controls into their own control frameworks and recommending approaches to implement their controls on AWS.
* Prioritize strategic customer outcomes that drive their business forward while complying with sovereignty requirements and increasing their overall security posture.
* Work with customers to resolve complex security concerns and problems and achieve sovereignty, security, resilience and compliance outcomes are on the AWS platform through deep dive discussions, strategic presentations/recommendations, and hands on demonstrations in the AWS environment
* Act as a thought leader. Develop and launch industry leading sovereignty related, customer-facing resources based on projected customer needs and current demand
* Assist the AWS compliance team in determining the strategic direction of the various AWS compliance programs based on customer interaction and demonstrative metrics.
* Directly impact the roadmaps for AWS products and services through voice-of-the-customer amplification and influence with product and service teams to ensure that sovereignty requirements are prioritized on feature roadmaps.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
- Excellent communicator who can quickly earn the respect of the team, partners, and customers and desirable to have English and other language skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
