Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a passionate, process and detail-oriented operations manager to join the AWS Global Customer, Industry, and Partner Marketing Strategy and Operations team to support governance and budget management across our growing team.

This role will own budget and investment reporting, and process development with the ultimate goal to increase efficiencies in communications, budget assistance, and data harvesting. A key aspect to this role is working to automate overly manual processes and create a robust system for regular budget tracking and reconciliation. Additionally, this role will work closely with marketing team members across the organization to assist with ad-hoc reporting, functionality, and process requests.

This role requires an individual with exceptional written and oral communication skills, and a love of problem solving. The successful candidate will lead with data-based decision making and have a clear understanding of system automation. They will be a self-starter who can work with ambiguity, while also being a team player who can collaborate regularly in our fast growing, and ever evolving Strategy & Operations team. They will dive deep into every facet of governance and budget management, and be eager and willing to raise the bar on related processes.

• Develop and standardize budget reporting and dashboards in our budget tool for team-wide use
• Create strategies to improve and expand processes aimed at increasing process efficiencies
• Collaborate with other marketing teams to ensure data accuracy within budget management systems
• Automate and reconcile monthly spend compared to financial targets
• Automate data pulling for users and budgets with funds that meet specific criteria
• Maintain and automate internal budget records for regular reconciliation
• Assist team with ad-hoc requests for reporting, functionality, and process questions
• Document and streamline budget related information for the organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- 5+ years of experience in a marketing analytics or operations analyst role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
