Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking a talented, self-directed demand generation and inside sales leader to drive adoption of AWS’s cloud computing solutions in Worldwide Public Sector's Nonprofit segments. This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast growing team in this industry-leading technology business.

The ideal candidate has a passion for technology and a successful track record in technology and/or public sector in both building and leading inside sales and lead generation teams. This role will be responsible for leading and building a team of lead generation specialists to support our rapidly growing business in the Nonprofit segments. The candidate must be able to define key metrics and manage against KPIs while also coaching the team to ensure they are creating a strong pipeline of opportunities and leads.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop relationships with sales leaders to drive leads to opportunities and shepherd those opportunities to closure
- Partner with marketing to effectively capitalize on events and marketing campaigns by developing and executing comprehensive campaign plans
- Work in close alignment with sales directors, territory sales leaders, service teams, business development and partners to launch campaigns for your team, identify key targets and build out the contact database
- Use salesforce automation tools to ensure all data is captured, tracked, and qualified leads are entered and assigned to appropriate resources
- Work with business operations to develop reporting and dashboards, define KPIs and mechanisms to measure and drive productivity and impact for visibility across the business.
- Indirectly drive revenue and market share by service across all assigned market segments and meet or exceed assigned performance targets.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of sales experience which includes leading an outbound lead generation, inside sales or sales team within a technical sales organization
- 5+ years experience building and retaining a world class outbound telesales or lead generation team in high-technology or Public Sector
- Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese
- BA/BS degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Masters or MBA
- Experience building an international team
- A technical background in engineering, computer science/MIS or equivalent work experience very helpful
- Extensive customer & contact network
- Demonstrable track record of building and leading high-functioning, geographically dispersed inside sales/lead generation teams
- Skilled at cross organizational collaboration and building relationships and trust with customers and account teams
- Executive presence and superior oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to create innovative and targeted lead generation programs that generate results
- Successful management of complex and multi-faceted programs with demonstrated results
- Proven success creating a vision for a team and successfully executing against that vision
- The demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously in a fast-paced and high growth environment
- A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and a reputation for driving benchmark industry products/services
