You will establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customer’s mission and the environment. You will have day-to-day interactions within the larger account and with the community of partners that support the global account and its customers. The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables them to drive an engagement at an executive level. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
Key job responsibilities
* Develop and articulate compelling visions for cloud adoption across the entire DoD landscape
* Serve as the lead presenter in high-level customer engagements, representing AWS's cloud solutions
* Synthesize complex technical concepts into clear value propositions for senior DoD leadership
* Collaborate across AWS teams to identify emerging technologies and their potential applications in defense
* Create and deliver thought leadership content through various mediums (whitepapers, presentations, workshops)
* Provide strategic guidance to sales teams across all DoD verticals (4th Estate, Navy/COCOM, Army, Air Force)
* Participate in key industry panels and events representing the DoD business
* Support, where applicable, DoD strategic capture initiatives in coordination with the BD/Capture team
* Influence product development based on deep understanding of DoD needs and challenges
* Translate customer requirements/mission related to business opportunity to AWS senior leaders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience selling cloud solutions at a software company or equivalent
- Experience with AWS and technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
