Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking a talented, self-directed, and growth-focused Executive Assistant to support senior marketing leaders in our Public Sector business. AWS Public Sector Marketing drives awareness of AWS services and solutions to the Public Sector, which includes a wide range of federal, state and local government agencies, nonprofits, and higher education, both in the United States and around the world. Candidates must be well-versed in digital organization and project management platforms, data-driven operations, and coordinating requirements across multiple leaders and time zones. The role will be based in either our Arlington (WAS17) office.


Key job responsibilities
- Provide administrative, operational and scheduling support for two Marketing Directors in the Worldwide Public Sector Field Marketing and Partner Marketing organization.
- Manage executive correspondence, meeting schedules and detailed information capture.
- Maintain access to Marketing Director schedules, manage invitations/responses and align with Marketing Directors on priorities for time management.
- Provide on site support, as required, to manage executive presence at priority events; may require domestic and international travel.
- Regularly update project management software with status updates for two Marketing Directors and their leadership teams.
- Review correspondence, capture meeting notes, and catalog requested resources for Marketing Directors.

A day in the life
You will own coordination of schedules, priority engagements, correspondence and time management for two Marketing Directors in the Field Marketing organization. You will balance time zones and stakeholder needs for Marketing Directors in the Public Sector and Partner Marketing organizations, supporting customers across federal, state and local government, nonprofits, higher education, and AWS partner companies. You will work alongside other executive assistants, field marketers, sales leaders and teams, and partner marketers. An ability to organize and coordinate executive leader activity is a must-have with preference for proficiency in digital and project management platforms like Asana and Outlook. You will also be working alongside event managers, finance teams, and product marketers to ensure that your directors are up to date on the latest policies, corporate guidance and reporting requirements. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, meeting management, project management, and on-site coordination of executive presence at priority events.

The Public Sector and Partner Marketing teams provide demand generation support for Sales teams in the US and around the world. We insist on the highest standards and deliver results, with an emphasis on data-driven reporting. Our team moves quickly and requires a high degree of organization and initiative.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of senior level leadership support, or 1+ years of Amazon experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience with executive level calendar management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives
- Experience managing multiple complex calendars, planning and organizing events of all sizes, and coordinating domestic and international travel
