Amazon Web Services (AWS), Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) is seeking an Anaplan Developer to assist with the generation, standardization, and automation of forecasting models, planning processes, and reporting. The role is part of a Business Insights team charged with identifying and explaining business trends and impact. Candidates should have advanced Anaplan skills and experience building models that can scale to hundreds and thousands of users.

Key job responsibilities
• Maintain an existing, newly developed Anaplan forecast model currently being used by thousands of users today. Maintenance defined as ensuring data is updated and accurate, auditing model calculations and scalability, and providing to support to customers
• Develop a deep understanding of the business and be able to identify and quantify levers that impact the business
• Identify forecasting feature gaps and/or planning process inefficiencies within the sales organization, gather data and user requirements, and translate those needs into model enhancements and/or new Anaplan model implementations with timelines and delivery dates
• Develop both back-end and front-end features in Anaplan following best practices (PLANS methodology)
• Understand existing databases and warehouse structures in order best determine how to consolidate, aggregate, and utilize data in an efficient and scalable way
• Work with data engineering team to push data from Anaplan into existing data warehouses and reporting environments
• Develop user guides, training materials, and documentation for the model to assist end users

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 2+ years of relevant experience as an Anaplan model developer
• At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a business analyst, gathering data requirements, developing metrics and reports, using data insights to support business cases, planning, and decisions
• At least 1+ end-to-end Anaplan system implementation (requirements gathering, design, build/test, deploy, support)
• L1, L2, and L3 Anaplan Model Building Certified
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or other business/analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master Anaplanner or Anaplan Solutions Architect Certification
• Experience in BI design and development, UI/UX best practices
• Experience using AWS technologies such as Redshift, GLUE, and S3
• Experience with Tableau or other BI tools and developing dashboards
• Experience writing and debugging SQL queries (ETL, Data Modeling, Data Mining, etc.) with large-scale, complex data sets in a business setting
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
