Position Responsibilities:
Support the Americas data center operations space. Create and implement sourcing strategies for at least one services category and collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and costs for Amazon. Develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery. Drive results through methods that include competitive bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data and market trends for responsible category. Run an end to end tender process. Pull source information and update SRM models to provide ongoing strategic analysis for key customers. Manage the supplier onboarding and qualification process. Engage and facilitating procurement for multiple categories within AWS. Develop and enhance interdepartmental communication. Strive for continual improvement in supplier service and costs.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: 1) sourcing experience including with vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, and operational and financial analysis; and 2) experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management and operations. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week.
