We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our CRE team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving programs that enhance our customers' ability to build and maintain resilient systems on AWS. In this role you will not only manage this program, but use your well-honed understanding of how AWS achieves operational excellence to help guide customers to the right outcomes. This role will be key in helping AWS learn what we need to know to both scale knowledge and skill improvements to field teams and drive the direction of new products that improve customer resilience.


Key job responsibilities
* Own successful delivery of an impactful and highly cross-functional program
* Collaborate with AWS service teams to implement resilience features and services
* Scope, plan, implement, and deliver programs while collaborating with business owners, AWS leadership and customers to align with strategic vision and goals
* Establish metrics and regular reporting mechanisms for measuring project success criteria, and support deep dive assessments
* Identify trends and insights, and opportunities to scale learnings from the program
* Communicate plans, status, and critical issues clearly and effectively to executive leadership.
* Ensure customer data is handle with sensitivity and confidentiality
* Ability to travel periodically, as needed


About the team
The Customer Resilience Engineering (CRE) team is part of the AWS Resilience organization. The team’s purpose is to deeply engage with a select group of AWS customers with critical workloads that must must meet the highest availability objectives. The team works deeply with customers while embedded alongside the service teams that focused on building resilience-focused AWS services and products, including Application Recovery Controller and Fault Injection Service. They also collaborate with service team Principal Engineers to solve customer problems and influence our product roadmaps. The team works across geographies and industries to improve customer’s resilience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, distributed systems, and AWS services
