We're seeking an experienced leader to join Amazon Autos as Principal Technical Program Manager. In this role, you'll leverage your proven track record of delivering large-scale programs to bridge our engineering and product organizations. You'll drive complex technical solutions from concept to launch while building strong partnerships across Amazon's ecosystem.
As a key member of the Tech leadership team, you'll help shape our strategic direction and advance Amazon Autos' mission through thoughtful roadmap planning and precise execution.
A day in the life
• Partner with leadership to develop strategic initiatives and technical roadmaps
• Drive complex programs across multiple teams from planning to launch
• Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders through regular updates
• Track program health, manage risks, and coordinate changes across teams
• Define and monitor key success metrics
• Navigate challenges creatively to keep initiatives moving forward
About the team
This role is on a team with a vision to create innovative automotive discovery and shopping experiences on Amazon, providing customers better convenience and more selection.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 7+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience in architectural design or system design independent of an architect

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
