Amazon's Global Procurement Organization tackles business challenges that help internal customers with innovative procurement strategies. We create value in the supply chain, strive for optimization, and act with one global voice and vision. The Category team owns the strategic relationships with suppliers & internal stakeholders. The team identifies & leads strategic sourcing activities to lower overall total cost of ownership for Amazon operations, ensuring equipment & service availability meet business owner requirements. The team develops & negotiates framework agreements to reduce risk & support local teams in project specific needs relevant to category.

This role in the facility services team will have broad responsibility to define the procurement strategy for the janitorial category, sourcing vendors and innovative tools and processes to support a large network of Amazon stakeholders across multiple business lines.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and deliver long term sourcing strategies, lead key initiatives with cross-functional teams; drive the decision making process of the category roadmap with regional senior leadership
- Drive commercial relationships with suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving optimal cost and performance
- Lead supplier performance management including improving sustainability & social responsibility
- Coordinate and collaborate with local teams to deploy and manage the implementation of your defined strategies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
