Onsite Medical Representative

The Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is deeply committed to the safety and wellbeing of our people. To support these goals, Amazon is seeking an experienced and dynamic Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join our team. In this position, you will work closely with the WHS Site Manager, WHS Specialist, and occasionally the Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS). This includes attending weekly associate safety committee meetings, greeting all new hires for the site or through daily one-on-one interaction. Additionally, the OMR will participate in weekly case management review meetings as necessary. As an OMR, you will independently assess and administer first aid as well as offer guidance to Amazon Associates (AAs) on both occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. You should be passionate about learning and advocating health and wellness principles to consistently support AAs on a daily basis. You will refer care to outside medical providers as needed, and learn about OSHA regulations, risk, and analysis. The OMR will function as a part of the larger team onsite, assisting with all first aid needs and support safety operations as needed.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Provide first aid support and make referrals to outside medical providers as necessary.• Minimize the AA risk of injury through awareness, education, and proactive engagement.• Maintain all records of care provided to AAs.• Coordinate and maintain the workers’ compensation and return to work programs for AAs with work-related injuries.• Provide daily activity logs and end of shift reports.• Engage with AAs and leadership on operations floor to provide coaching regarding observed at-risk work habits.• Maintain a clean working environment and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory is maintained.• Participate in training and certification to facilitate first aid, CPR and AED certifications classes. • Maintain all first aid, CPR, AED credentials.• Work flexible shifts which could include days, nights, holidays, and/or weekends.• Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols.• Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.For those that do not have an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, must obtain within 3 weeks of start date.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- High school or equivalent diploma- Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by an approved emergency cardiac care (ECC) provider; AND must have one of the following:- Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Paramedic Certification from the Department of Health OR the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT); OR- In the last year, six months job experience in the Military as a Combat Medic (U.S. Army), Field Medic (U.S. Army), Healthcare Specialist (U.S. Army), Hospital Corpsman (U.S. Navy), or Aerospace Medical Service Technician (U.S. Air Force); OR- Current Active Athletic Trainer Certification by either the Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent State Certification ...

Amazon is seeking leaders to work with the Central Operations Process Engineering (PE) team. The PE team is a globally diverse group of operational leaders driving process stabilization, standardization and continuous improvement for the Global Customer Fulfillment (GCF) Network. This team is essential to establish and execute benchmark operating standards, accelerate implementation of technology advancements and to strengthen process knowledge for the operational leaders across the Fulfillment Center (FC) network. As we continue to rapidly grow our FC footprint and infuse the organization with new talent, we need to ensure the operations teams are equipped with the needed process knowledge, established standards and benchmark practices for great process control. The team will utilize tools to understand process control and establish process understanding with the outcome of minimizing variation between shifts, buildings and regions, by driving standard operating procedures to deliver strong performance. The team will also work closely with (Amazon Customer Excellence System) ACES leadership to define, teach, and translate standard work across the GCF Network. Key job responsibilitiesAs a Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to join a diverse team of leaders with the objectives to pursue variation reduction, optimize standard work to reduce cost, and build mechanisms to drive compliance toward the standards. You will be responsible for the prioritization of efforts within the buildings, region, and super region to reduce variation from the standards and ultimately improve process control and performance. This role requires the ability to insist on the highest standards for process execution, interpret data, and lead through influence to deliver meaningful results translating to tangible productivity and efficiency gains across the super region. Some of the position’s key responsibilities include:- Evaluate performance objectives and metrics across the super region to proactively identify process improvement opportunities and largest gaps to benchmark performance supporting prioritization efforts for improvement opportunities - Audit, teach, and drive execution to the benchmark standards while acting as a catalyst for continuous improvement and process execution in the super region- Develop and implement detailed standard operating procedures to support daily operations within established process control limits for each fulfillment process- Partner with operational leaders within the FCs to execute implementation of established standard work and process improvements driving stabilization and standardization across the super region- Play a critical role in training operational leaders in the FCs as it relates to knowledge gaps within the super region to support reduction of variation in process standards- Partner with ACES for reviewing critical inputs, new training, best practice sharing, and documentation to drive benchmark performance- Execute, measure and support communication of variation reduction impacts in partnership with the site leaders responsible for day to day operations- Work with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, AFT, Learning and Talent Development and ACES to deliver and deploy network wide initiatives- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to FCs across the designated super region.
