Amazon’s North America Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (NA RME) strategy team is seeking an experienced and highly collaborative professional to lead strategic programs to support business strategy for the NA RME Network. NA RME maintains and optimizes facilities ranging from large, modern, purpose-built warehouses utilizing robotics and high-volume conveyance all the way through the value chain to small, high-speed warehouses placed as close to our customers as possible. The Business Strategy Program Manager role is responsible for leading the development of long-term strategic and annual operating plans for a North American Business Unit (NA BU) of the NA RME organization, through collaboration with several stakeholders; including Finance, RME-Field Leadership, RME-Central Leadership, Operations Leadership, People Experience & Technologies (PxT), Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), amongst others. This role will be responsible for identifying needs within the business and working with cross-functional stakeholder groups to effectively incorporate solutions into the near and long-term business strategy of the organization through effective maintenance of organizational cadences and ownership operational planning cycles. This role requires excellent professional writing skills, with a proven track record of effective communication with senior-level leadership groups on initiative status, risk, and process/product changes.


Key job responsibilities
• Define and monitor the goals of the business to ensure alignment against organizational objectives
• Develop, implement, and manage new strategies that optimize business functions to meet organization goals
• Define future state of business and priorities
• Lead the business participation at key internal and external initiatives, including planning sessions (Operational Plans or OP)
• Provide change management, strategy development and execution.
• Create bar raising Documentation
• Anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, anticipating and making tradeoffs, and balancing business needs versus operational or procedural constraints.
• Ensure clear communication and coordination of both risks and mitigation mechanisms with global stakeholders across internal and external teams.
• Identify, prioritize and communicate key areas for service and business improvement along the key operations metrics.
• Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.
• Write business Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), Operational Plan (OP) documents, reporting metrics and insights to both internal and external teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Business operation, strategic planning, transformational leader experience. Experience in the maintenance industry at a network scale
