Key job responsibilities
Provides leadership and oversight to teams performing core responsibilities within the Amazon Worldwide Grocery Store Technology operations/administration areas. Oversees team efforts to provide ongoing technical support to network, database, information, and other system users. Ensures effective installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of systems, workstations, servers, and networks. Oversees password maintenance, data integrity, and file system security for desktop and network environments. Ensures effective onboarding of new Team Members, including laptop and/or desktop configuration, system access, and security clearance.
A day in the life
Manages day-to-day service delivery to ensure team of Support Engineers meets or exceeds service level obligations to customers and system users. Manages team ticket queues. Ensures team has the technical understanding and capability to respond quickly and effectively to system and user issues. Ensures team uses best practice processes to accomplish work assignments. Manages and prioritizes team objectives and projects based on business need. Holds individuals and team as a whole accountable for achieving established objectives and goals. Allocates project and work assignments to provide staff with developmental opportunities and, at the same time, achieve business objectives.
About the team
The Worldwide Grocery Store Technology Support Team is a group of Support Engineers that are Customer Obsessed. We believe in serving our Amazon Grocery visitors with technology that revolutionizes their shopping experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
-BA/BS degree and 4-6 year’s relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
-0-2 years’ leadership experience.
- Ability to travel up to 25% per year
- 18+ months of computer hardware troubleshooting, Linux troubleshooting, and repair experience
- 18+ months of computer networking experience
- 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS, networks and operating systems
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
- Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID
- Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
