As a Software Development Manager on the Workforce Solutions Analytics and Technology (WSAT) team, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with a team of product managers, UX designers, researchers, software development engineers, and data engineers in answering these questions and developing products for use by internal operations leaders to manage these insights at scale. This team will shape the strategic direction and inform talent decisions at the highest levels of Worldwide Operations, helping us to become the world’s most scientific and technically proficient Human Resource organization.

Key job responsibilities
You will manage a strong team of SDEs and work with product, design, science and PM professionals to achieve the goal of zero friction development experiences. You will establish structures that enable your team to solve complex problems and deliver large systems, and drive mindful discussions that lead to crisp decision. You will carefully consider short-term solutions and make sure their impact on the long-term architecture is properly assessed. You should tackle ambiguous problems and proactively mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market.
