Amazon Privacy team is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer. You will be part of an autonomous, cross-functional team designing, building and operating strategic feature sets.

Amazon Privacy team within Amazon’s eCommerce Foundation group delivers solutions that manage our customer's most important personal data. Our team builds tools that allows application owners to attest to the privacy practices. This role is inherently cross-functional and requires a strong ability to communicate, influence and earn the trust of software engineers, technical and business leadership. You will work with Product managers, build wireframes/prototypes, innovate to improve customer experience and measure customer behavior.

Key job responsibilities

Work on a modern data-driven UI platform to render a dynamic web application using React, Redux and other related technologies.
Assist in re-architecting a monolithic application into smaller code packages or microfrontends.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in front-end web technologies and bring new ideas and approaches to the team
Write high-quality, clean, efficient, and well-documented code to create reusable and modular components

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
