Key job responsibilities
The Measurement and Data Science (MADS) Reporting User Experience team is responsible for the software that hundreds of thousands of advertisers use to manage their advertising strategies on Amazon. These tools are also a fast evolving fabric that enable rapid development by teams across Ads. You will collaborate closely with our product and technology leaders, own the technology roadmap for a broader set of systems, and manage a portfolio of programs to meet emerging customer needs and technologies. As a single-threaded program owner, you will gain a deep understanding of the end-to-end product architecture and bring the knowledge of our systems to bear as you find ways to drive highly complicated cross-functional programs across the technology stack. In addition to proactively driving business and system-level reviews, the Principal TPM is responsible to consistently bring strong, data-driven, and strategic technical judgment to decisions and creating a bold vision for how Amazon Ads guides our customers through the next stages of their growth.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- A deep understanding of the software development process, and a proven track record of shipping software quickly, then iterating on the experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Online display advertising industry experience
