Front End Engineer II, Threat Detection

We are looking for an experienced Front-End Engineer who is excited about leading the technical vision and architecture for our next-generation UI products. This role will be instrumental in delivering a best-in-class user experience for our customers while ensuring an efficient and scalable developer experience for our growing team. Since we are just getting started on this initiative, you will have ample opportunities to make foundational decisions and play a central role in shaping our future.

As a Front-End Engineer in the Threat Detection team, you will work closely with a high-performing group of engineers, senior front-end engineers, security experts, and product leaders to build innovative applications and tools that enhance and streamline workflows for our threat detection customers. Our products serve as a critical component of Amazon’s security ecosystem, playing a key role in accelerating detection engineering efforts and improving response times.

This is a high-impact role where your work will directly contribute to strengthening Amazon’s security posture, ensuring that our threat detection capabilities evolve to meet the scale and complexity of emerging threats. Key job responsibilities
- Design and build robust web-based React applications for our internal customers
- Develop reusable UI components that can be used across multiple applications and domains
- Drive architectural choices for front-end applications and educate other engineers on the team
- Interface with stakeholders and product managers on UX design discussions
- Interface with other teams to build integrable solutions
- Survey currently deployed applications and find ways to modernize them
- Establish and implement technology best practices that should be followed across the team
- Integrate new data sources into the application by creating new APIs using GraphQL
- Manage the testing and deployment of new application features
