A day in the life
As an IT Application Engineer for international POS systems, your day centers on driving operational excellence within our SAFe framework. You'll tackle a prioritized backlog of improvements for UK and Canadian stores, focusing on system performance, and reliability. Collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams, you'll progress high-priority items while providing daily support for critical POS functions. You'll participate in SAFe ceremonies, and engage in architecture discussions. Your expertise will be crucial in mentoring junior members and translating stakeholder requirements into innovative technical solutions that propel our global retail operations forward.
About the team
We are a small, dynamic team responsible for the Point of Sale (POS) systems in WWGST's Canadian and UK Whole Foods Market stores. Our work is critical to the smooth operation of these international retail locations. We collaborate closely with third-party software vendors to optimize our core POS solution, while also working directly with operations partners, product teams, and other technical and support teams across WWGST. Our mission is to continuously improve the POS experience for both our store associates and customers, driving operational excellence in our international retail presence.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree and 3-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MS degree and 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
