Key job responsibilities
- Define cost methodology for box truck LTL programs
- Launch co-mingled box truck load types
- Create and deliver long-term (LTP) and medium-term planning (MTP) documents
- Lead ad hoc strategic projects across the box truck, linehaul and overall transportation space
- Collaborate with Senior Manager and Director level leaders across the organization and influence medium/long-term decisions across business units to yield the best outcomes for customers
A day in the life
As a leader in Network Design, you will be building the medium and long-term expansion strategy for the US Box Truck LTL program. You will work directly with finance and Under the Roof (UTR) product to define the cost methodology to split cost across business demand. You will launch the first iteration of co-mingled box truck load types working cross functionally within the other box truck teams (RSR, AF, AB, SWA) to maximize fill rate and minimize total transportation cost.
About the team
The Amazon Box Truck Network team oversees all programs an initiatives related to any box truck loads Amazon executes in the US and is broken up into Network Design, Under the Roof (UTR), Over the Road (OTR), Postal (POST), and Tech & Analytics Teams. Specifically, the Network Design team optimizes the box truck transportation network to minimize for transportation cost, improve speed to customers, and reduce defects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology
- Experience in Less than Truckload (LTL) Transportation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in using statistical analysis to identify issues or opportunities for improvement
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative research
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience in transportation, logistics, and supply chain

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
