About the team
Reverse Logistics (ReLo) encompasses all operations related to the reuse of products and materials. Unlike Forward Logistics, which moves products from Fulfillment Centers (FCs) to customers, ReLo works backwards and moves products from customers' hands to returns centers to be resold as new, returned to vendors, resold as used, liquidated, donated, recycled, or destroyed. Amazon processes, inspects, evaluates, and disposes of products into different channels to generate recovery to offset the cost of returns.
The SCALE team's vision is to drive standardization, continuous improvement, and effective change management across the ReLo network. The standardization program establishes consistent processes, reducing variability and enabling improvements in safety, quality, and the speed of change implementation.
