What will you do?
We’re hiring a Senior Pricing Strategy Lead who will own the contract (large customer) segment strategy of our US business, a critical growth engine for Ship with Amazon (SWA). This role will also include the ownership of the accessorial (additional shipping fees and surcharges) strategy, an important element of the revenue management science and an opportunity for SWA to establish new industry standards to address customer pain points. We believe that pricing can be a core differentiator, therefore industry benchmarking, price positioning, metric / goals design, and the enhancements of these metrics / goals will be key responsibilities for this position. You will also work closely with the business development team and interact directly with customers to further enhance the quantitative metrics you design. Additionally, the role will require close collaboration with the finance and operations teams to understand cost-drivers and corresponding adjustments to enhance customer behavior while improving profitability and experience.

• Contract segment benchmarking, price positioning, profit analysis leading to overall rate structure and pricing strategy vision for the contract segment
• New demand opportunity assessment/pricing strategy for both the contract segments and accessorial surcharges
• Support global business level Pricing narrative and own your segments’ (monthly and quarterly business reviews, OP1, SPS/3YP) including metric creation and performance
• In region SOPs, training, audit, and inspection as related to the segments owned
• Collaborate deeply with science/product for development vision and roadmap prioritization as well as business development to include relevant customer pain points and needs
• Begin mapping detailed cost elements that pricing can influence for the improvement of profitability by segment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
