The NAST Safety Risk Response team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated data analyst to support business initiatives by identifying and analyzing data, driving process improvements, and eliminating defects. An ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of different business models and the underlying analytics, and the ability to assimilate new methodologies and data sources. They will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, be vocally self-critical, and be able to collaborate with others in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

This position is NOT remote and DOES require you to be onsite in Nashville, TN.



Key job responsibilities
• Partner with safety and compliance leaders to create key performance indicators and new methodologies for measurement.
• Understand data sources and pull necessary data to drive the decision-making process.
• Translate data into actionable insights for the stakeholders.
• Automate reporting for weekly business metrics; identify areas of opportunity to automate and scale ad-hoc analyses.
• Automate existing manual workstreams through dashboard development, ensuring data feeds the right systems to drive business decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- High school or equivalent
- 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Are 18 years of age or older

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of VBA and Excel Macro creation and modification
- Knowledge of a modern programming language (Ruby, Java, Python, or C#)
- Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
- Experience leveraging LLMs and developing GenAI applications
