Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a qualified Start-Up and Retrofit, Expansions and Initiatives (REI) Planning Manager to solve the complex challenges of ensuring planning, deployment and implementation of delivery station retrofits, expansions and network optimization for safety, capacity and flow. These programs make up some of AMZL's most strategic initiatives as the team automates and optimizes the network. In this role, the individual will have direct responsibility for all initiatives assigned and the end-to-end planning and implementation. You are responsible for the initiative health and successful launch in adherence with the orgs goals and OP2 commitments. The Start-Up and Retrofit, Expansions and Initiatives (REI) Planning Manager will be the programmatic liaison between a multitude of stakeholders including Design, Transportation Engineering Services (TES) Pre-Construction, Transportation Engineering Services (TES) Construction, Start-Up Execution, WHS, Capacity Engineering, Finance and many more. This role calls for an individual who can over index on ownership to de-conflict multiple competing initiatives and drive timely delivery. This role’s scope necessitates the ability to solve ambiguous issues and provide effective solutions to gaps between teams, processes and systems.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead multiple stakeholder teams to develop site level project timelines.
• Solve complex problems that pose risk to project delivery and key milestones through inquisitive deep dives with stakeholder Subject Matter Expert (SME) input.
• Lead stakeholder teams in identifying opportunities to reduce spend in assigned regions through analysis of available assets, business needs, and returns on investment.
• Clearly communicate project and program issues and challenges to senior leaders in writing and via in-person/ remote meetings.
• Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve project/ program management efficiency.
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.”

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
