Are you passionate about driving innovation and operational excellence in the rapidly growing last-mile delivery space? As an SSD (Sub-Same Day) Engineering Product Manager at Amazon, you'll play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the way we get products to our customers.
In this role, you'll be responsible for owning the customer-centric strategy, gathering feedback, analyzing business impact, and using key metrics to inform the direction of our SSD initiatives. You'll define a clear vision and long-term roadmap, collaborating closely with engineering teams to align product development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Management:
- Define the product strategy, roadmap, and feature prioritization for your assigned SSD business pillars (e.g., Grocery, Hazmat, Pharmacy, Flex, Prime Air, Fulfillment, Distribution).
- Gather customer and stakeholder feedback to inform product decisions and address pain points.
- Develop comprehensive rollout plans that balance customer and business needs, and facilitate smooth cross-functional collaboration.
- Make strategic trade-offs and drive alignment across the organization.
2. Strategic Roadmapping:
- Collaborate across business units to develop a forward-looking plan that aligns engineering and infrastructure projects with SSD's long-term goals and priorities.
- Ensure the roadmap addresses customer needs, financial targets, and operational scalability.
3. Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and process excellence.
- Schedule and moderate multiple weekly standing meetings to obtain or share information and approve changes.
- Coordinate information between various teams in the organization.
This position is located in Nashville and may require up to 20% travel.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
