Key job responsibilities
- Coordinating with internal technical and business teams (e.g. Security, Software Development, Operations) to define system development/improvement requirements, technical solutions, and implementation success criteria.
- Preparing technical documents (e.g. wireframes, threat models, schemas) to promote ideas and design concepts through approvals (e.g. AppSec, PhySec).
- Working with internal and 3rd party teams to refine and test new system features, to coordinate implementation, and to validate changes in production.
- Maintaining program and product documentation and configurations to maximize inventory security and business benefits.
- Coordinating reoccurring meetings with key stakeholders to track status updates, to identify risks/barriers, and to drive deliverables, ensuring consistent alignment across all organizations.
- Managing ticket queue, prioritization, and tradeoffs for strategic system developments.
- Planning for 3rd party software costs, tracking spend against budget.
- Governance over Change Management process.
A day in the life
Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to understand business needs, preparing technical documentation to define new system requirements, managing stakeholder expectations and dependencies, driving program-revolutionary developments from idea to implementation, and maintaining program/product documentation and configurations are all in a day’s work for the reverse logistics Vendor Product Manager.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program, project, or product management experience in a warehousing, manufacturing, data center, or reverse logistics environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related, or 4+ additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of experience using warehouse management and/or inventory control systems
- 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record for improving metrics and performance to SLA
- Experience managing a 3rd party vendor
- Experience using programming languages (Java, HTML, etc.)
- Experience in AWS platforms, (S3, RedShift, etc.)
