We are looking for a talented leader who will be able to set the product and expansion vision and strategy and define the problem(s) we are trying to solve. The Sr. Manager will lead a group of senior product managers and expansions program specialists, mobilizing and inspiring team members to drive goals and deliver successfully, unblocking roadblocks when necessary. The Sr. Manager will challenge their team to continuously look around corners for more optimal and innovative ways to make payments, seek simplification and are able to make trade-offs between business opportunities, time, resources and features.
They are capable to work under ambiguity and conflicting priorities and deliver through positive influence and alignment with stakeholders and leadership to get things done. The Sr. Manager drives clarity even under the most ambiguous circumstances. They work closely and effectively with cross-functional product (tech and non-tech), engineering, business, treasury, accounting and operations teams on identifying and implementing new payment products. This individual utilizes their deep functional and technical understanding of payments to ensure that organizational goals, system scalability and customer needs are all met. The ideal candidate will also have superior analytical abilities and a track record of end to end delivery finding practical, simple and creative solutions for complicated problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality.
Key job responsibilities
- Define a global strategy for Global AP Payments Product and Expansions
- Identify new payment opportunities that align with the growth and needs of our businesses and payees, and which support companywide goals
- Manage a team of senior product managers and expansions specialist globally distributed
- Partner closely with Technology and other cross-organizational team leaders to deliver world class solutions
- Lead the global product and expansions roadmap and influence businesses to align on priorization utilizing mechanisms and metrics to ensure success
- As a senior product leader, drive product culture within FinOps organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- 6+ years of team management experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Bachelor's degree

- 2+ years of experience working with banks, and other payment services providers on product/service launches
- Thorough understanding of payment industry infrastructure and global payment ecosystems
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment

- A proactive and dynamic self-starter, able to adapt to changes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Experience managing teams across various geographies
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights, working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Technical fluency, comfortable discussing technical solutions, understanding their business implication, and identifying alternatives with technology teams.
- Strong data analysis skills; the ability to extract and synthesize data in order to make data-backed business decisions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
