Key job responsibilities
Successful individuals in this role will:
· Think of themselves as business owners, who cultivate a deep understanding of all major inputs that drive long term performance (selection, price, availability, forecasting, operational excellence, marketing, mix)
· Maximize Amazon’s flywheel by focusing on selection expansion and cost saving opportunities
· Negotiate effectively with the industry’s largest vendors - manage supplier contracts, Annual Vendor Negotiation (AVN) strategy, marketing, and day-to-day relationships
· Work with Program Managers to develop innovative ways of launching new features that improve the customer experience
· Develop a thorough understanding for the industry, macro trends, and future trajectory
· Communicate effectively across all levels of leadership, both internally and externally
· Submit high quality work within tight deadlines
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
