Key job responsibilities
* Proactively prospect and cultivate relationships with senior decision-makers at high-value target accounts, including school districts, Fortune 500, universities, libraries, and other target customers
* Develop and execute tailored business development strategies to win new large-scale, negotiated book contracts
* Lead cross-functional collaboration with marketing, content, and operations teams to craft compelling solutions
* Negotiate complex commercial terms, pricing, and contract agreements to seal major B2B deals
* Achieve and exceed ambitious quarterly and annual sales targets for the B2B books segment
* Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs
About the team
You will be joining Amazon's fast-paced B2B Books team. We are a Biztech team, responsible for driving growth within the institutional and enterprise book customer segments. As part of this team, you will work alongside tech leaders, sales managers, and cross-functional partners to deliver exceptional service and innovative solutions to our B2B clients.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience positioning and selling innovative solutions to new and existing customers and market segments
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 7+ years of successful B2B sales and business development experience, ideally in the book/publishing or education technology sector
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of Sales/Business Development experience
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, marketing, economics)
- Passion for the book industry and a drive to expand Amazon's B2B books footprint

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $176,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
