Amazon seeks a business intelligence engineer to be a key partner for the Amazon Advertising business. We’re looking for a top technical and analytical mind capable of extracting value out of our large and disparate data sets. You will influence the direction of the business by leveraging our data to deliver insights that drive decisions, evolution of our products and the way they fit into Amazon's ecosystem. Additionally, you’ll help streamline and simplify the metric reporting needs for our operating cadences such as daily, weekly and monthly business reviews.

Key job responsibilities
Work closely with the Product Managers, Finance, Engineers, and Data Engineers on developing BI/analytics solutions to measure the performance of new and existing solutions and surface new opportunities for improvements.
Build and analyze key metrics to uncover trends and root causes of issues and own ad-hoc deep dive investigations into existing customer journeys to identify root causes of issues and surface improvement opportunities.
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing data pipelines, metrics, reports, visualizations, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive business decisions.
Work with Product Managers, Data Engineers, scientists to develop a mechanism to measure the performance of a new and complex projects that seeks to create a unified and cohesive generative AI solution to enhance customer experience
Collaborate with other stakeholders to optimize and adopt applications within the AWS ecosystem.
In this role, the BIE will be responsible for migrating dashboards to new visualization tools, conducting thorough testing, deploying the new tools, and training users on the updated visualization platform.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
