Position Title: Solutions Architect III
Location: New York, New York
Position Responsibilities:
Act as a technical liaison between customers, AWS Sales and other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. Drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. Help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. Shape and execute strategies to build mindshare and broad use of AWS within enterprise customers.
Position Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupations of Database Administrator, Support Engineer, Systems Engineer or another related occupation. Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Master’s and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications; architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments or on-premises virtualized environments using C++, Perl, Python, or Java; and experience with database architecture, performance tuning, Big Data, or Hadoop. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week. Some positions may require up to 30% domestic travel for business purposes.
