PV Sports is seeking a talented and experienced researcher to join our team as we build a best-in-class Sports Insights department. Amazon PV Sports offers an impressive and growing selection of live and on demand sports content to Amazon customers, including NFL Thursday Night Football, the NBA (2025), NASCAR (2025), the NWSL, the WNBA, and New York Yankees games. This group helps fuel PV Sports’ effort to become the go-to-sports streaming destination for fans.

In this role, you will support both the measurement of PV’s sports properties as well as development of fan insights around each sport. In a measurement capacity, you’ll use first party data and Nielsen data to provide ongoing assessments of each Sport’s viewership. From an Insights perspective, you will work with syndicated reports, quantitative studies, and qualitative projects to help PV leadership better understand the wants and needs of sports fans.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven, analytically-oriented thinker who thrives in an intense fast-paced environment that often requires solving problems with ambiguity. This person will excel at obtaining data, interpreting it and communicating it in a meaningful way that propels the business forward. PV is a writing culture necessitating this individual demonstrate a consistent combination of precision, conciseness and clarity with expressing data.

The person in this role will be a self-starter who is able to navigate and execute within a complex organization. They will be comfortable with forging relationships with and juggling multiple priorities with stakeholders across different areas of Amazon (including, but not limited to Marketing, Programming, Partnerships, and Production).



Key job responsibilities
-Support all aspects of the Nielsen rating process entering program lineups, generating daily and weekly reporting and informing forecasting
-Synthesize various data sources to contribute to weekly and monthly business reviews and long-range plans
-Prepare summaries of a variety of syndicated reports on various aspects of the sports fan experience
-Play a key role in the design, execution, analysis and reporting of survey projects and creative primary research studies

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-2-3 years of research experience in either the Tech, Sports, Media or Entertainment industry (preferably Sports)
-Experience working with and reporting on data from measurement systems such as Nielsen, Adobe, comScore etc.
-Superb writing skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Academic coursework in Statistics or Analytics
-Proficiency in Excel
-Being a Big Sports fan

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $154,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
