We are seeking a highly analytical and future-focused Senior Finance Analyst to join the US Fresh Finance Team. As the Senior Finance Analyst supporting Fresh Grocery Online, you will own annual and long-range planning, partner with leaders across the business to scope and refine initiatives that drive growth, and craft the monthly growth story narrative to leadership. Your insights will help advance product development as you balance revenue growth while concurrently improving profitability. This role is highly visible, with opportunity to partner with leaders across Marketing, Retail Operations, and Product organizations to drive a cohesive business plan and narrative. Grocery is a key investment area for the company and growing rapidly, so there will be opportunity to increase scope and exposure in this role.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead long-range planning for topline by working with business teams to model a) changes to our network design and store entitlement sizing, and b) the impact of new product features and growth initiatives
• Partner with finance lead and business teams to build financial models that generate insights to drive business decisions for strategic initiatives. Make judgment calls using your understanding of Amazon's topline structure
• Partner with finance lead to deliver monthly financial close. Create scalable processes, and use advanced MSExcel functions to invent and simply, improve quality, and reduce audit timeline.
• Partner with finance team to standardize and automate forecasting while simplifying and improving forecast accuracy
• Act as subject matter expert (SME) for Grocery's Shipping Revenue, working closely with business partners to capture entitlement and risks during planning cycles (Gui, OP) and elucidate trends during monthly reviews
• Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events
• Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring peers and team members. Seek and leverage diverse perspectives in all activities.
• Contribute to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members.

About the team
The Grocery Finance organization is dedicated to shaping the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omnichannel and new physical store formats across Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
