The International Expansion team launches the full suite of Amazon Advertising products in new countries, invests in long-term automation to scale international launch velocity, and delivers custom features to accelerate growth in international locales. As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will be responsible for collecting business and system requirements needed to launch Advertising products in new countries and distill those down to technical milestones. You will drive complex, multi-team projects that span the entire Advertising organization from ideation through to delivery, partnering closely with business stakeholders and technology leaders. You will leverage your technical expertise to accelerate engineering teams, look around corners to mitigate risk, and promote technical innovation. You will own communication across all levels of senior leadership on strategy, prioritization, and results.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive International expansion of the Amazon Advertising business
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the engineers
- Ascertain the true requirements underlying feature requests; recommend alternative technical approaches and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines
- Drive long-term investments on behalf of customers and engineers that set the team up for future success
- Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for long-term scale and maintainability
- Capture, share and leverage your best practice knowledge across a broad group of engineers
- Create content such as white papers and other written deliverables

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
