We’re looking for someone who possesses a solid Sales Operations Analyst background, familiar with working across datasets needed for analyzing information, delivering visualizations, identifying key business insights, and working with stakeholders in generating the right metrics to define and measure success. You should be passionate about developing insights, setting high standards, and providing information that enables dynamic decision-making using cutting edge technology. You should have excellent business acumen and communication skills, and be able to work with AWS business leaders to develop and define key business questions, then work backwards to deliver meaningful insights that answer those questions. Your deep analytic skills, strong business judgement, and focus on our core operational inputs will make you a critical partner to sales and sales operations leaders as you help them prioritize initiatives, identify gaps in process and performance, and remove barriers to execution. You should be excited about working with data, be driven to dive deep, and passionate about collaborating with Sales Leadership, Finance, Data Engineer, Business Analysts and Sales Operations teams.


Key job responsibilities
- Act as a consultative partner to the Generative AI Go to Market Specialists team providing relevant data-driven insights to support strategic imperatives
- Identify and address data challenges within the organization, predicting future issues that may arise and building proactive solutions
- Consistent data validation audits, data maintenance, and address data gaps as they arise
- Work directly with the models/data. Work with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them
- Write high quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from database tables (ex. Redshift, MySQL). Build data models leveraging Python

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the business
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate ambiguous business requirements into complex analyses and actionable insights
- 5+ years of prior experience in Business Operations, Strategic Planning, Finance, Management, Consulting or other related fields

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
