AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.
Key job responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day Security activities for your assigned Data Center(s) under the guidance of a manager
- Assess vendor compliance, based on the established work order, track service deliverables and escalate corrective actions to a senior team member as needed.
- Provide support to all vendors within the data center
- Conduct inspections, audits and reviews in your area of responsibility and ensure compliance with AWS security standards and policies.
- Lead the media security requirements within the Data Center
- Participate in regular meetings with vendors, data center operations and other partner teams to accomplish operational consistency.
- Effectively communicate with partner teams when providing awareness of security policies and procedures.
- Troubleshooting Security Devices in conjunction with the local Security System Integrator
A day in the life
Troubleshooting Security Devices in conjunction with the local Security System Integrator As a DC Security Manager, you will be expected to implement and verify compliance with security procedures, ensure alarms are resolved in accordance with standards and policies; while optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of physical security at our facilities. You will champion new initiatives for the physical security team and seek implementation in coordination with multiple business partner teams. You will be tasked with leading cross-functional teams, writing security strategies, driving processes to achieve industry-leading security and driving down costs through process improvement and technology enhancement. You will report to the Cluster Security Manager responsible for your area.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems (eg. LENEL or C-cure)
- 3+ years Project Management experience and creating process improvement procedures
- 3+ years managing a team of individual contributors and vendors
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience working in a facility and observing security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedure, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points.
- 3+ years of experience driving campaigns to reduce nuisance alarms.
- 4+ years of overseeing security sub-contractors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction, door repair, fencing, and access controls.
- 3+ years of experience creating and implementing emergency planning programs and physical security countermeasures
- Detailed and data driven experiences that exemplify Amazons Leadership Principle
