The AWS World Wide Public Sector (WWPS) team is looking for an exceptional Program Execution Manager to support our growing National Security business within our FDO. FDO is responsible for program management activities across a portfolio of Federal programs. Activities include managing multiple concurrent region expansion projects, task orders, maintaining the program’s schedule, risk mitigation strategies, working with partners across the industry, and facility programmatic administrative functions. FDO ensures contractual delivery and enables the growth of the business by managing the growing prime contracts for AWS to provide cloud services to government customers.
The role requires familiarity and experience implementing project management practices and frameworks. The role requires navigating an ambiguous environment to drive clarity of ownership and action. The role requires relentlessly high standards and an expert attention to detail. You will draw upon your background in administration and project management to raise the bar on our programmatic execution. You will draw upon project management, critical thinking, and analytic problem-solving skills, coupled with good communication and organizational skills.
As a PEM, you will spend time working across all phases of our prime contracts. You will directly support the PMO and Customers as part of the team that manages the programmatic relationship with government customers. You will learn how Amazon executes on our government contracts and grow as a project and program management professional. You will contribute to programmatic activities including schedule management, risk management, initiative tracking, CDRL development, proposal responses, and more. You will own customer-facing initiatives and special projects that programmatic government customers require. You will work across all organizations inside AWS including Security, Infrastructure, Utility Computing, and Sales to achieve programmatic goals and outcomes.
This position is based in Jessup, Maryland. You will join a cadre of program management and technical business development professionals in pursuing new - and overseeing existing - US Government contract requirements, milestones, and deliverables.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with programmatic and administrative tasks and functions
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess an intermediate understanding of US Government contracting activities
- Possess the ability to interact directly with government customers of varying levels of seniority
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
- Possess strong organization skills and the ability to navigate ambiguit

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
