The Quality, Technology and Strategy team builds and supports systems and processes for planning, manufacturing, supply chain, and digital operations at Amazon Robotics. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to solve innovative problems via business process and technology innovations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience guiding large projects end-to-end, and will have experience with large-scale Engineering and/or Manufacturing operations. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. You will work with business owners to define requirements, work on technical design, and create, maintain and disseminate program information to stakeholders.

You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or conflicting priorities. This means you are able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives while rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. Maturity, high level judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence and data utilization are essential to success.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage large, complex technology initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating systems that are no longer needed.
- Manage information technology and business relationships to drive increased performance
- Be knowledgable of all systems in the program space, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind architectural choices
- Drive business' future-state capabilities and IT environment to detect gaps and recommend data solutions for improvement and modernization
- Guide project teams with technical direction, ensuring efforts are aligned with the future vision and strategy
- Be effective and efficient in the delivery of large, complex technical projects and programs
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints
- By applying project management best practices, increase the productivity and effectiveness of the teams you work with.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- 5+ years experience working with a scaled engineering or manufacturing organization.
- 5+ years experience as a program or project manager in an enterprise IT department.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
