The Robotic Movement team owns the core cloud and in-warehouse software system responsible for the robotic fleet management and equipment control of Amazon Robotics mobile robots in fulfillment and sortation centers. Our organization owns a suite of services which collectively orchestrate robotic work planning, scheduling, resource management, navigation, and execution for over 600,000 Amazon Robotics mobile robots. Our teams’ ongoing development aims to enable the rapid evolution of the core Amazon Robotics mobile robot platform to new use cases, and optimize the safety, efficiency, and operational experience of existing ones.
We are looking for a Senior Software Technical Program Manager (TPM) within our Robotic Movement Team. The role is out of our North Reading, MA or Westborough MA Robotics Development Centers.
As a Sr TPM in this org, you will work on planning, preparing, measuring and improving organizational software services readiness for various High Velocity Events (HVEs) like Prime Day, Prime Big Deal Days (PBDD) and Peak. You will also be working with teams to plan, monitor and communicate AWS cost/budget and other cross-functional initiatives like availability and security improvements. You will be driving complex cross-functional projects across different software teams and teams across FTR/Amazon. You will be working with senior leaders in the organization to take new ideas from concept to delivery. You will work across the Ops Robotics teams to share the Core Software team vision, partner with other Amazon Robotic teams to create, execute and deliver general purpose software processes/solutions to serve Amazon business needs. As Sr TPM you will mentor other TPM’s and also drive major programs at Amazon Robotics.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
