The host team is developing novel approaches to mobile robot operation to carry a wide range of loads and perform different roles in Amazon logistics. These robots are used in automating material handling throughout the fulfillment and sortation processes. The team focuses in multi-robot coordination and planning, while developing cost-sensitive solutions.
The postdoc is expected to develop novel control and planning algorithms for a fleet of agile robots, working closely with mechanical engineers. Experience with hands-on development and bring-up of robotic systems would be a significant contribution to team goals.
