We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced and motivated Front end engineer to join our cross functional team of scientists and engineers to build a simulation service. As a team we are always looking for ways to invent on behalf of our PXT and other Amazon partners through automation and building self service solutions for our customers. This is the role for you, if you have a passion for continuously improving customer experience, you are motivated by challenging problems in developing and scaling highly accurate customer facing applications and love writing great code.


Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will..
- Help define front end architectures, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience
- Contributing to defining best practices for front end development
- Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, domain specialists, scientists and generalist Software Development Engineers to help deliver the product.
- Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement as a member of an autonomous team.
- Take responsibility for technical problem-solving, creatively meeting product goals, and developing best practices.
- You will design and develop React based web applications and leverage component libraries such as MUI
- Write high-quality, efficient, testable code in React JS
- Mentor and support the growth of other developers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of professional front end software development
- Familiar with frameworks including React and microservices
- Proficient in Typescript
- Experience to create modular UI
- Familiar with web security principles
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with AWS and Python
- Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiences
- Experience building reusable UX components or libraries

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
