Are you passionate about solving business problems through data-driven decision making? We are seeking a Sales Planning Lead to partner with Sales Planning leadership to define business requirements, develop insights on the efficacy of our tools and mechanisms, develop metrics to measure success of programs (e.g., Top 2000, Partner-Led, and other Scale Initiatives such as SMB, MMT, SUP, Greenfield), automate operational processes, and invent new ways of diving deep with data to uncover actionable business insights to help us serve our stakeholders. The successful candidate has broad technical skills, strong financial acumen, deep analytic experience and a passion for driving operational excellence.
The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, work autonomously, and be a quick learner. You will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to day-to-day problems, be highly organized, and be able to communicate results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way. You will proactively seek answers in self-service tools, and know when to ask for guidance. Must be passionate about your work, detail-oriented, analytical, and demonstrate problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate problems and roadblocks as needed. You will manage multiple assignments and requests/processes concurrently, prioritizing accordingly, and deliver timely results. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving improvements to reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data.
This position will work with stakeholders supporting the extended AWS Commercial Sales organization, like Business Development, Marketing, Professional Services, and Partners. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and across multiple geographies.
Key job responsibilities
- Create insightful analysis, reports, and dashboards to accelerate information-to-action at scale
- Develop and execute mechanisms used to manage Sales Planning programs
- Support annual planning activities and develop actionable insights
- Develop relationships and processes with sales, finance, HR, sales operations, and other stakeholders to identify and address business requirements
- Prepare ad hoc analysis & participate on projects as needed
- Be an expert in analytics tools required to support Sales and Sales Operations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- 10+ years experience in sales planning/strategy, sales operations, program management, and/or operational excellence, preferably in a large, complex, and fast-paced technology organization.
- Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering tangible business impact.
- Thorough understanding of sales planning processes, tools, and technologies, with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions.
- Experience with market and insights related to cloud computing and IT

- Exhibits sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership and delivering programs to support and grow a business

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
