Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead the effective and efficient delivery of a large, complex technical program and its associated projects
• Drive effective cross-functional teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitments across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues, and risks at multiple levels
• Create, maintain, and communicate program information to stakeholders
A day in the life
This role requires strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. You are expected to have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and be able to create project plans, define requirements, track and convey project status transparently, and drive work across teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS Degree
- 7+ years of technical program management or technical leadership experience.
- Experience with project delivery for large, cross-functional projects.
- Experience and proficiency with cloud, API and web technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to cater the communication appropriately to the level of the audience from peers, engineering teams, to external partners, and GMs, and C-Suite executives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Experience in software development and managing large, complex technical projects across several teams and functions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Skills in data analysis, telemetry and instrumentation processes.
