We are looking for an experienced and motivated technologist who possess a deep understanding of the Energy Industry, a business mindset, technical depth, and strong interpersonal skills to build the future with us as a Solutions Architect supporting one or some of the largest Energy companies in the world. You will work with customer line of business owners to solve their biggest business problems and help them attain new levels of performance. You will leverage AWS’ leading cloud services to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address business problems and accelerate the customer cloud journey. These solutions always have the customer and their experience at the center of everything we do.
In partnership with Global Account Managers, you will shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and enable the broad use of AWS within the organization. You exercise good judgement in balancing short-term value with longer-term supportability and are keenly aware of how technological changes might impact your solutions.
You will adeptly interact, communicate and partner with other teams at AWS such as product, marketing, and professional services, and represent your team to executive management. You possess a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. Your dynamism, creativity and passion for excellence will make a positive impact with your customer.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Our primary goal is to meet customers where they are in their cloud journey and work backwards from their industry specific needs to transform their business and their entire industry. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
