Amazon is seeking an adventurous logistics professional for our Amazon Web Services Team in the Aurora, CO area.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. Upon application you will be asked qualifying questions that will be used only in relation to the US Government Security Clearance required for this role.





Key job responsibilities
- Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers
- Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations, including localized driving of a variety of transportation vehicles
- Attend company provided fork lift operator training
- Complete company provided training in driving box trucks up to 26’ in length
- Handle sensitive/classified materials
- Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally work is in an office environment
- Work overtime as required

Perform the following tasks:
- Lift loads of up to 40 pounds and carry them for short distances
- Participate in group lifts of 41 pounds or more
- Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment
- Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance

A day in the life
Logistics Specialists will perform operations across three key areas: Warehousing, Transportation, and Data Centers. This role involves monitoring inventory levels and conducting cycle counts to ensure adequate stock is available for build and repair activities. Process inbound and outbound shipments, manage Inventory Management Systems, and oversee chain-of-custody processes for our customers. A Logistics Specialist will operate both independently and within team settings. They will expedite processes, triage, and resolve logistical issues as they arise. Additionally, the role includes transporting parts between locations using sprinter vans, trucks, or various powered equipment such as forklifts or electric pallet jacks. Specialists should be comfortable and willing to regularly drive a variety of motorized vehicles, including box trucks up to 26' in length. Due to interstate operating authority commerce regulations, candidates must be at least 21 years or older. Candidate must hold a valid state-appropriate driver’s license, be able to obtain their Driver Qualification File (DQF) and or a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Candidate must obtain & maintain a DOT Med Card and be eligible to drive in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.

This position involves frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials and products. Logistics Specialists will be required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company. They must also maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all work spaces.

Preferred candidates will have experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment, as well as experience and knowledge of reverse logistics processes. This future Amazonian must possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, commitment to Operational Excellence, and adhere to strict safety standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 2 year of logistics experience, preferably in a warehouse environment and minimum of 1 year experience driving box trucks up to 26’ in length
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating a forklift or similar type of powered lifting equipment and experience using a computerized Inventory Management System (IMS)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices.
- Be able to to demonstrate process improvement and operational efficiencies.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $51,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $99,900/year in our highest geographic market.
