As the leader of Kuiper’s Silicon Test Engineering team, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design, and scale innovative semiconductor product manufacturing solutions. You will work closely with internal inter-disciplinary teams and third-party suppliers to drive key aspects of reliability, quality and test system definition, design, and deployment. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Build and lead a silicon manufacturing team consisting of Digital, RF, and SERDES test experts.
- Collaborate with silicon design and engineering partners to ensure that quality, reliability, and testability are properly considering during the design phase.
- Specify bench and production test plans for chips, and review measurement results.
- Drive interactions with suppliers such as foundries and OSATs to complete engineering programs for wafer test, final test, qualification, and burn-in.
- Design and Implement test systems comprising test program, loadboards, probecards, etc.
- Actively identify test related readiness issues, and optimizations throughout the product lifecycle and work towards expedient resolutions.
- Define and implement best practices for hardware / software design cycles and revision control.
- Own the optimization, standardization, and improvement of test methodologies to enhance operational efficiency in production, ensure product quality, and minimize cost.
- Recruit, coach, and develop organizational talent to build on our existing team of test engineering professionals.
- Work with business and legal teams to write SoWs for supplier contracts, and negotiate supplier contracts.
Export Control Requirement:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/communications engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in semiconductor RF or mixed-signal test engineering, preferably in high-volume consumer devices manufacturing.
- 5+ years of operations team leadership experience in the semiconductor industry.
- 3+ years of managing managers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with digital / SERDES test techniques such as scan, MBIST, and loopback.
- Experience with JTAG and boundary-scan techniques.
- Understand of and experience with DFT and DFM.
- Experience with ATE hardware development and debugging.
- Experience with running firmware on DUTs to reduce test time and increase self-testability.
- Knowledge of PCB design requirements and layout best practices for high-speed signaling and mm-wave signaling.
- Experience writing test programs for UltraFlex and Advantest equipment for wafer sort and final test.
- Excellent understanding of wireless electronic manufacturing, assembly and test processes, and hands on experience with failure analysis.
- Knowledgeable in production control processes, statistical analysis platforms (Galaxy, Spotfire, JMP or similar), data interpretation/analysis, Cp/Cpk, and bench/tester correlation.
- Working Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PERL, and Tcl/Tk

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $187,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $324,100/year in our highest geographic market.
