Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will develop new features for IMDb and IMDbPro, working with your engineering team, product managers, and UX designers to build web features that delight our Pro customers. You will own customer facing features through the entire life-cycle, from design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch support. You will need to be comfortable working in Front End systems such as React, Next.js, JSP, and Freemarker. You will also need to be comfortable with backend systems such as GraphQL, Database Management (relational and non-relational), and AWS Infrastructure. A wide array of learning resources are available for specific technologies, but a fundamental understanding of full stack development will be necessary for this role. In addition to new feature development, you will have an active support role for maintain existing systems and contributing to necessary migration and modernization efforts.

We have high technical standards and support you to lead the team to reach for new engineering excellence leveraging internal Amazon technologies as well as AWS services like DynamoDB and Lambda as well as other technologies such as GraphQL. You will set the standard for engineering, testing, and operational excellence, drive best practices across organization.

About the team
The IMDbPro Showcase team is responsible features and services that empower entertainment professionals to manage information about themselves, their clients, and/or their company across IMDb and IMDbPro.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Prior leadership experience, mentoring and guiding junior team members through design review and code review

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
