System Development Engineer, Automated Reasoning Identity

Are you excited about scale and working across multiple AWS Service teams to help our global customer base? You will be part of a global team that works with AWS service teams to help them develop managed resources that all of our customers can use to implement security and infrastructure best practices without having to spend time creating or maintaining their own resources. This team is changing the way that AWS Service teams are able to interact and solve our customer's needs at scale. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will allow you effectively work with business leaders in the customer base and in AWS. The ideal candidate will possess a technical background that enables them to easily interact with architects and technical owners. She/he should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about technical challenges. A keen sense of Ownership, Bias for Action, and Frugality - operating well within constraints and developing creative solutions - are hallmarks of a successful person in this role.

Key job responsibilities
Design , develop and deploy security controls and validate our services, solutions, infrastructure and customer environments meet the highest standards. You'll analyze security of customer-facing services, procedures, and security training/support. Where improvements are needed, you'll address issues, build automation, and mitigate threats. This role offers security skills growth as you work with teams building new technology at scale. System Dev engineers learn from and mentor others, becoming trusted advisors. You'll have technical expertise across domains and significantly contribute to the team and groups throughout Amazon. You must earn trust, dive into technical details, collaborate to build secure services, and provide secure approaches for critical customer environments. This requires fostering constructive dialogue and resolving differing security risk opinions.. Successful candidates need troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills to own and deliver and deploy security projects and software development.
