Amazon Security Platform Engineering (ASPE) is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented technical program manager to support a new 3rd party security configuration management tool that will be used across Amazon globally. ASPE is responsible for driving innovative enhancements that raise the bar for how Amazon interacts with resources, systems, and data. This team dives deep into security technologies related to system hardening, configuration best practices, vulnerabilities and the auditing of configurations of Amazon's 3rd party cloud usage (ie Azure/Google).

ASPE plays a crucial role in driving innovative security enhancements that push the boundaries of how Amazon employees interact with resources, systems, and data, ultimately striving for excellence in their interactions.
In ASPE, we are searching for Security TPMs who will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the trust of our internal and external customers by upholding the highest security standards for operation within our infrastructure. If you have a passion for leading teams of engineers and developers, analyzing, engineering, and architecting system services, COTS products and possess strong skills in organizing, driving, and communicating laterally and upwards to management, then this position offers you a challenging opportunity to solve complex and far-reaching problems. The ideal candidate for this role should possess both a firm foundation in technical security and a demonstrated ability to successfully deliver complex projects on a large scale.
Key job responsibilities
Work in tandem with internal Amazon and AWS service teams to improve internal and external services.
Respond to and coordinate related security consultations and inquiries.
Influence service teams across Amazon to develop systems and processes with security best practices.
Support large-scale security projects and initiatives.
Work closely with internal service teams and other program managers.
Develop and mentor other Security TPMs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
