Key job responsibilities
• Oversee the tactical implementation of KGS’s supply chain risk management plan.
• Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers.
• Own KGS vendor management. Develop spend strategies, identify potential suppliers, analyze supplier capabilities, select suppliers and determine prices, terms, and conditions of agreements; including managing daily purchasing activities to enable efficient and timely execution of engineering design, build, and test activities
• Work with engineers on procurement strategy and Bill of Materials to ensure preferred vendor selection in accordance with customer requirements.
• Be responsible for execution and review of the KGS Business System modules for logistics, inventory, and property management.
• Be a business partner to Professional Services leadership team and executives, providing insights to help shape the strategy of the business
• Provide strategic guidance to area leadership teams, bringing deep knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, inventory and property management best practices.
This position is in Northridge, CA. Some travel, both domestic and international, will be required.
Security Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, so you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) and/or inventory management experience required
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years working in operational supply chain management and/or logistics management
- At least 5 years experience with delivering on Supply Chain and Property via FAR/DFAR requirements.
- At least 5 years experience preparing and delivering state of the business documents and presentations.
- At least 5 years demonstrating the ability to execute and document business operations. Track, document, and enforce compliance procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience with Aerospace and Defense Government portfolio.
- 10+ years of Excel experience and strong analytical skills required to organize, logically analyze, and pursue solutions to various supply chain challenges including but not limited to spares/attrition strategies, obsolescence, technology refresh for support equipment, and supply chain risk management
- Demonstrated experience managing suppliers and supply chain logistics for space application technologies including EEE components, materials, subsystems, and associated test equipment
- Demonstrated experience proactively recognizing a challenge or problem and working with a variety of teams and data sources to diagnose the problem and recommend solutions.
- Manage end-to-end logistics and acquisition actions.
- Experience preparing and delivering state of the business documents and presentations.
- Experience operating with global customers both government and commercial
- Experience with DoD/IC/NASA projects.
- Experience with SAP, JIRA, Confluence.

The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market.
