The Amazon MGM Studios Distribution team is seeking an experienced distribution executive to drive growth in our international television licensing business. You will work with sales executives covering every country outside of the U.S. and will help them shape their deal strategy and effectively execute their negotiations. You will be an integral part of our deal team as we endeavor to understand and capitalize on the customer dynamics, product trends, windowing strategy, performance metrics and licensing terms that drive each opportunity we pursue.

Key job responsibilities
• Utilize your understanding of how television rights trade in international markets, especially the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Australia, to offer guidance to the sales team on how to maximize both individual deal value and the long-term growth of our distribution business in each country.
• Provide analysis to test and validate the deal valuations as sales executives negotiate and close transactions.
• Gather broadcast ratings data and other key metrics from the Research team and make content selection and pricing recommendations based on these performance metrics.
• Analyze the performance of film/TV content on AVOD platforms and make recommendations about how to optimize content selection to maximize AVOD revenue.
• Dive deep on film & series availability reports and design licensing strategies to optimize distribution opportunities across all television outlets (SVOD, Pay TV, Basic TV, Free TV, AVOD) in a given country.


About the team
The Amazon MGM Studios Distribution team leads Amazon’s efforts to license the SVOD, AVOD, transactional and linear television rights to Amazon Original content as well as MGM’s 4,000+ films and 17,000+ television episodes. We are at the forefront of licensing both theatrical and direct-to-service content, and are looking for knowledgeable, innovative team members to help us shape our strategy and maximize our opportunities in the rapidly evolving television landscape.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years experience in international television distribution in a sales or strategy role
• Ability to travel internationally to join the deal team on key negotiations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, and a facility for presenting to both internal and external clients.
• Proficiency with MS Excel
• Experience analyzing large quantities of data
• Basic understanding of broadcast ratings data
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Curious and passionate about the complexity and nuances of international business
• Proficiency in Airtable, Tableau and/or Amazon QuickSight.
• Proficiency in MicroStrategy
• Advanced skills in Excel; pivots, macros/VBA, vlookup, index match
• MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $99,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
